BNGR's growth strategy turns your unit economics into a 90-day plan: we set your allowable CAC from real margins, fix the offer and funnel, rank the angles worth testing, and map how budget moves from testing to scale. Then the same team ships the ads.

The math before the adsExample unit economics: a $60 price minus $15 product cost and $12 shipping and fees leaves $33 profit per order; times 2.4 orders is $79 per customer, so the allowable CAC is up to $40. Good ads, offers and landing pages are 80% of what a brand needs.

Jacob Canfield, founder, BNGR

Most brands that stall don't have a media problem. They scaled spend before they knew what a customer was worth, they're sending cold traffic to a product page with a weak offer, or they're testing random ads instead of ranked angles.

Growth strategy fixes the order: economics first, then offer and funnel, then creative, then spend.

The six levers

What we plan, and in what order

  1. Economics

    Unit economics and allowable CAC

Contribution margin, repeat rate, payback window and new-customer mix. One number your acquisition plan is managed to.

  2. Offer

    Offer architecture

Bundles, subscribe-and-save, guarantees and price anchoring. Headlines that promise a result, a timeframe and a risk reversal.

  3. Funnel

    Funnel and landing pages

Presell advertorials, listicles, quiz flows or a sharper product page. Split-tested, not guessed.

  4. Creative

    Angle and persona map

Every persona, awareness stage and angle in your category, ranked by evidence from your account and competitors' spend.

  5. Media

    Channel and testing plan

How much budget tests new creative (usually 10% to 20% of spend), what graduates, and when to add Google or TikTok.

  6. Retention

    Retention and LTV

Email, SMS, subscription saves and post-purchase offers that raise what a customer is worth, so you can pay more to get one.

The 90-day plan

How a growth engagement runs

  1. Days 1 to 14

    Diagnose

Audit the account, funnel and category. Build the unit economics model and agree on allowable CAC and weekly KPIs.

  2. Days 15 to 30

    Fix the foundation

Tighten the offer, launch the first landing page test, clean up tracking, ship the first round of angle-led creative.

  3. Days 31 to 60

    Test

Run ranked angles across formats, creators and funnels. Kill fast, keep what beats the CAC target, splinter every winner.

  4. Days 61 to 90

    Scale

Move budget into proven winners, add the next channel if the economics hold, reset the roadmap for next quarter.

Beyond the ad account

When the plan needs more than ads

Some constraints sit outside creative and media. We bring in partners we've worked with across our portfolio so the plan doesn't stop at the ad account.

Product

Manufacturing and formulation

Contract manufacturing, formulation and ingredient sourcing for new SKUs and line extensions.

Conversion

CRO and retention

Landing page testing plus email and SMS programs that lift conversion rate and LTV.

Reach

Media handles and creators

Whitelistable publisher handles, creator networks and organic content when you need reach beyond your own page.

FAQ

Growth strategy questions

What is a DTC growth strategy?

A DTC growth strategy connects your unit economics to how you acquire customers: what you can afford to pay for a customer, which offer and funnel convert them, which creative angles reach them, and how much budget goes into testing versus scaling. BNGR delivers it as a 90-day roadmap with weekly KPIs.

What does BNGR's growth strategy include?

An account and category audit, a unit economics model with your allowable CAC, offer recommendations, a funnel and landing page plan, a ranked angle and persona map, a channel and testing budget plan, and a 90-day roadmap. Retention and CRO plans are included when they're the constraint.

How is allowable CAC calculated?

Start from contribution margin per order, add expected repeat purchases over your payback window, and subtract what you need to keep for cash flow and profit. What's left is the most you can pay for a new customer. Media and creative are then managed to that number instead of platform ROAS.

How is growth strategy different for CPG brands?

CPG brands usually have lower prices, thinner first-order margins and more repeat purchase than other DTC brands, plus claims rules in categories like supplements. So the plan leans on subscription and bundle offers, LTV-based CAC targets, and creative that sells the mechanism without making claims you can't support.

Is growth strategy a one-time project or ongoing?

Either. Some brands take the audit and 90-day roadmap and execute in-house. Most keep BNGR on to run creative, creator programs or media buying against the plan, with a monthly review to adjust it.
